About the Role:

The digital landscape today is more complex than it has ever been, and we, as media agency partners, have a critical role in helping our clients navigate and gain advantage from it. New media opportunities, such as those across Retail Media, Creators, and Commerce, add to that existing complexity and mean we must have the very best talent and leadership to advance our digital capabilities.

The fifth member of MG OMD’s digital leadership team (DLT), the Head of Digital Strategy and Planning, will sit alongside those who are capability-orientated (Data & Tech, Channel Activation), focused on creating and inspiring industry-leading digital thinking across our client portfolio.

This role is new to the business and reflects MG OMD’s investment in its growing digital capabilities. It will report jointly to Tom Nash, MG OMD's Chief Digital Officer, and MG OMD's Chief Planning Officer.

As the Head of Digital Strategy & Planning, you will develop digital planning approaches and frameworks to drive the greatest impact on our clients’ businesses.

You will support the planning and digital communities in their development of best-in-class, innovative, data-centric planning that continues to challenge and evolve how we drive client growth. You will also inspire the teams with your knowledge and application of trends in consumer behaviour, data, technology and the broader digital landscape.

You will be a true collaborator, forming close relationships across MG OMD, OMG’s Centres of Excellence, our Clients, Media Partners, and Industry bodies.

Through these relationships, you will think differently, curating industry-leading thinking, products, and processes that drive clients' business growth and commercial growth for MG OMD.

About the Agency:

MG OMD was established in 1990 as a challenger media agency (Manning Gottlieb Media) that placed craft, trust and performance at the heart of media planning and buying.

Since joining Omnicom network’s OMG (Omnicom Media Group) in 1998, we have continued to retain our founding ethos of providing clients with bespoke approaches, unprecedented insight, specialism, security and transparency; helping our clients to use media to unlock their competitive advantage and deliver innovative, effective and award-winning work and campaigns that create difference that matters.

MG OMD is the second-largest media agency in the UK. We are the most awarded media agency in both the history of the IPA Effectiveness Awards and Thinkbox’s TV Planning Awards and are currently Media Week’s Agency Partner of the Year for the third consecutive year and Thinkbox’s TV Planning Agency of the Year for the second year running.
