About the Role:

Are you passionate about sport? Fuse is looking for a talented PR professional to work across two key sport projects in our current client portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver best-in-class PR campaigns for major brands, alongside a brilliant team of communications specialists who consistently deliver award winning work for their clients.

Desired skills & experience

You should have strong interpersonal and project management skills, excellent attention to detail and be confident when liaising with clients & media. You will have strong relationships with key media contacts across print and digital sports press. You will have excellent writing skills and the ability to draft compelling news and editorial copy at speed.

You will have relevant experience working either at a PR and communications agency (applicants from non-sport PR agencies are welcomed), in house at a sports media outlet, at a sport team press office, or at a sport rights holder.

You’ll have a good understanding of the following: the sport and consumer media landscape, developing communications strategies that drive brand exposure across multiple platforms, live PR activation, talent management and campaign evaluation.

  • Relevant experience in PR, communications and media
  • Proven track record in creating communications strategies that drive positive brand exposure
  • Creative, dynamic and versatile personality with strong communication skills
  • Experience in writing compelling materials for media, including press alerts & releases
  • Experience working with high end sporting talent, influencers and/or brand ambassadors 
  • Strong client building skills
  • Strong book of media contacts across print and digital media
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task & work at a pace
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial processes

You need to have an ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on site at events and some weekend work.

This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.

Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

  • Develop key messaging for press campaigns 
  • Write engaging and coherent press releases 
  • Contribute to developing creative PR solutions against client briefs 
  • Articulate PR plans in writing, either in Word Documents or PPT format 
  • Develop creative treatments for PR photography and video content 
  • Generate press coverage for clients through structured sell-ins 
  • Curate and measure press coverage against KPI’s 
  • Create third-party budget forecasts for PR campaigns 
  • Manage budget cost-trackers for PR campaigns 
  • Create briefing documents for third-party suppliers (EG: photographers) 
  • Create client-facing status documents to support project management and delivery 
  • Lead client-facing status calls and be day-to-day lead for responding to client emails 
  • Effectively delegate and manage the day-to-day work tasks of junior team members
