Media Technology Director, EMEA

We continuously innovate the platform to ensure our clients stay ahead of their competitors in data driven marketing. Our team of Annalectuals is growing rapidly and are based in over 80 countries around the globe, supported by global and regional team hubs in NY, London, and Singapore, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The EMEA team is responsible for global and regional relationships clients led from London, as well as the development of new data-driven marketing capabilities. They form part of our global team and collaborate closely with local market Annalect teams across EMEA as well as regional Omnicom agency partners.
TEAM RESPONSIBLITIES:
Technology Services and Omni Customisation is an SME team that provides deep expertise in data and martech strategy and platforms. It provides technology implementation services including customisation of the Omni platform for clients and their agencies.
Specific responsibilities of the team are to deliver data and technology strategy, technical architecture and implementation planning, mar-tech consulting and platform management, including cleanrooms, DMPs, CDPs, CMPs and other cloud-based marketing infrastructures.
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a marketing data and technology expert for our regional Centre of Excellence. The role involves defining and delivering a portfolio of marketing data and technology services for leading global brands.
You are the right candidate if you are passionate about use of data and technology within modern advertising and are excited about the recent trends in the industry e.g., deprecation of third-party cookies, ethical use of consumer data, effective use of first, second and third-party data in generating audience insights and cross-channel activation strategies. You are a strategic thinker, and can understand, interpret and solve marketing problems through innovative use of data and technology.
You’re adept at using systematic processes, tools and frameworks to solve problems.
You have experience of marketing data and technology consulting for CMO/SVP/VPs of marketing organisations in multinational brands, either through a marketing communication organization, or in a consulting organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Deliverables
- Deliver data and technology projects, that may involve developing data and tech strategy, martech platform consulting, solution design and platform implementation and operations
- Be the martech SME in the global team for a leading global automotive client, collaborating with other SMEs and SME teams, as well as the media agency teams to co-create and deliver data and tech solutions for the client
- Provide media and marketing agency teams with data and technology advice to unlock further opportunities for the CoE
Client Growth
- Work with the agency teams to identify and exploit growth opportunities in the automotive account
- Assist solution consultants to convert growth opportunities to paid data and tech projects
Team building & development, HR
- Participate in the wider Annalect EMEA team activities and initiatives to foster a superior environment of cohesion, collaboration and innovation.
- Participate in regular performance feedback and PDP sessions to ensure your role and performance goals are tracked regularly, as well as a well-defined development track is established for you
- Conduct similar performance reviews and PDP sessions for all team member reporting to you
Training
- Develop and deliver relevant trainings as a part of client deliverables
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- BA/BS degree or relevant combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years experience of data and technology strategy consulting In marketing organisations
- Proven track record of defining and delivering marketing data and technology strategy and solutions is essential
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills commensurate to delivering high-impact strategy and vision to CMOs/SVPs/VPs of global marketing organisations. Client-facing experience absolutely essential
- A problem-solver and strategist par excellence
- Strong knowledge of digital advertising and related privacy regulations is essential
- Proven track record of managing global projects with multiple stakeholders is highly desired
- Ability effectively communicate and collaborate across a wide range of teams including regional and local media planning and buying teams – a master orchestrator
- Ability to implement and optimise operational processes and best practices
- Familiarity with a Jira / Atlassian service desk style tool beneficial but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills and team-first attitude
