Doctolib is looking for a Privacy Legal Counsel (German speaking), based in Paris, with extensive knowledge on privacy topics in Germany.
The role of the Privacy team at Doctolib is to build compliant, pragmatic and sustainable data protection frameworks wherever we operate, safeguard user privacy and advise various teams in the implementation of global data protection policies and practices within the organization. In this role you will assist our teams to design innovative solutions that meet our users needs, while ensuring compliance with Doctolibs' privacy-first culture. As we are implementing more and more AI into our products, you will get the chance to work on innovative projects at a very exciting time in Doctolibs' development.
As Privacy Legal Counsel Germany, you will be a key member of the Legal team. You will join a team composed of three privacy lawyers and will report directly to the Global Data Protection Officer. Furthermore, you will develop a close relationship with our General Counsel in Germany, with whom you will be in regular contact.
We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic and hands-on privacy professional with the ability to speak German fluently and extensive knowledge on privacy topics in Germany. Please note that this role will be based in Levallois-Perret.
What You’ll do:
Thanks to your experience in challenging environments with a strong focus on personal data, you will:
- Contribute actively to the implementation of the projects and the strategy around data protection in Germany and globally as needed, in collaboration with the rest of the Privacy team;
- Contribute to Doctolib’s global and local certification efforts for Germany;
- Build up and maintain global privacy policies, data privacy management processes and documentation;
- Participate to the development of awareness and training actions on data protection to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of our privacy ambitions;
- Support and collaborate seamlessly with the Legal team on data privacy topics;
- As needed, support investigation and resolution of privacy incidents;
- Monitor on-going regulatory and legislative developments on data protection and privacy in Germany to properly advise the relevant teams on the latest developments and upcoming changes.
Who you are:

- You are a lawyer with around 5 years of relevant experience in an international company, preferably a tech company and/or law firm;
- You have a deep understanding of German data protection law and EU data protection regulation (GDPR, e-privacy, etc.). Ideally you've previously had touchpoints with German data protection authorities;
- You deal effectively with high-profile stakeholders on complex legal matters;
- You have the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and adapt quickly to change business needs and/or priorities;
- You have this ability to both analyze complex issues and be straight to the point;
- You have excellent communication skills, both oral and in written;
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to transform the healthcare sector;
- You are fluent in German (min. C1 level) and English. French is a plus.
