What you’ll do
We are looking for a Sr Ruby Backend Engineer to join the Patient App Experience team in Paris.
As a Sr Backend Engineer, in a team composed of full stack, mobile and back end engineers, your mission will be to build and maintain scalable and secured Ruby on Rails backend services. You will be working in a team developing features improving patients and doctors communications like messaging, video chat and notifications, handling millions of daily events.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, own and maintain API for our web and mobile clients, using Rails, Resque, Redis, postgresql, kafka and more.
- Scale our stack to reach our next targets, defining clear services boundaries and designing reliable communication patterns
- Implement and promote development and design best practices to ensure the maintainability, performance, and security of our applications
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including product, security and data teams, actively participate in tech wide initiatives
Who you are

- Had 5+ years exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications, implementing highly performing API
- Deep knowledges on Ruby on Rails ecosystem, including active record best practices and optimizations
- You seek for impact and are quality driven, following best practices regarding code quality, testing and review
- You are fluent in english
