ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FRTB Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data related to trading and banking activities, particularly in the context of the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) framework. You will focus on process improvement, simplification, and drive the enhancement of the technology tools available to users. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our regulatory reporting, risk management processes, and ensuring compliance with evolving market risk regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily P&L reconciliation and reporting for assigned trading desks or products.
- Collaborate with trading desks, risk managers, and finance teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Providing project analysis covering data, process mapping and benefit validation and documentation
- Gathering business requirements, defining scope of delivery and tracking progress of milestones
- Support team with working knowledge of the Markets product
- Work closely with local product control team and assess impact of change requirements on day-to-day activities
- Effective support of the project, ensuring clearly documented processes
- Conducting testing phases of Finance Systems with Finance Change and Product Control teams, gathering sign-offs, post go-live related work
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvements
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior working knowledge of Global Banking and Markets
- Experience as Business Analyst
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail
- A good understanding of Project Lifecycle
- Experienced in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Access
- Strong understanding of financial products, trading activities, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated with a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environment
- ‘Can do’ attitude - willing to turn a hand to whatever task is required and support the team
