THINGS YOU WILL DO
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and infrastructure automation using Terraform. You will help design, deploy, and maintain cloud applications and services. The role involves working with AWS services like ECS and Lambda, managing cloud infrastructure, and collaborating using Git. You will work in global team. Preference to work 10-18 as half of the team is in Canada.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage cloud applications using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, and others.
- Infrastructure as Code: Automate cloud resources with Terraform for easy deployment and management.
- Serverless & Containers: Develop serverless apps with Lambda and manage containerized apps with ECS.
- Development: Write clean code in JavaScript and TypeScript for cloud applications.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Set up and manage automated deployment pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor app performance, fix issues, and ensure high availability.
- Security: Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Use Git for version control and collaborate with teams.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Min. 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
- Strong skills in Terraform for automating cloud resources.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript - development background as a must
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, ECS) and serverless applications (Lambda).
- Familiarity with Git for code versioning.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud monitoring tools.
- Great communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Good organizational skills working with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer).
- Knowledge of microservices or event-driven architecture.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
