ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking Data Modeler Consultants to support and drive the growth of our Data practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader, in a growing team of data practitioners, where you will be initiating and implementing cutting-edge data & analytics programs for top-tier Financial Services clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models  ( CDM/LDM/PDM) for banking applications and Unified Data models for multi-country implementation .
  • Design and implement data structures, including tables, views, stored procedures, and other database objects to support reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and other data documentation to ensure data quality and governance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data engineers to ensure data models align with business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data modeling team members.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data modeling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.
  • Proficient in data modeling techniques, such as dimensional modeling, entity-relationship modeling, and normalization.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools, such as Erwin, Power Designer, or SQL Server Data Tools.
  • Familiarity with relational database management systems, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Financial Securities & services Data, data warehouse, and business intelligence projects in the banking / Financial Trading industry.
  • Knowledge of banking data standards, such as FIBO or ACORD Data model
  • Certification in data modeling or data architecture, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Management Association (DAMA) CDMP.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies.
