ROLE OVERVIEW: 

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Transformation Program, one of the largest transformation initiatives of a huge international bank. The program involves collaboration with Operations business services, IT, and other channels to design and implement innovative processes supporting the development of a new Wholesale bank.

As a Process Design Lead, you will be responsible for conducting process discovery, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending emerging solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to program delivery with a focus on designing and implementing new Operations processes.
  • Perform gap analysis between global standard processes and local requirements.
  • Collaborate with Value Streams to design processes aligned with new technology platforms, streamlining procedures to improve operational performance.
  • Analyze process requirements across global markets, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance standards.
  • Create process maps, business/functional requirements, RACI matrices, and procedure manuals.
  • Facilitate stakeholder sessions to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide detailed requirements for the development team to support implementation.
  • Deliver training to support the roll-out of new processes in Global Service Centres.
  • Engage stakeholders from Business, Operations, Automation, Technology, Risk, and Process teams to review and approve process improvements.
  • Support the development of a new operating model for Operations, optimizing skills, locations, capacity, and cost.
  • Actively participate in governance, business, and delivery forums, reporting statuses and risks effectively.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational teams for testing and implementation activities.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5+ years in business consulting or change management, with a proven track record of delivering transformational projects.
  • Ability to create effective business and functional specification documents, process flows, and identify improvement areas.
  • Experience with tools like MS Visio, ARIS, Confluence, JIRA, and other business management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of banking fundamentals, particularly in Payments (SEPA, cross-currency), Wholesale Credit and Trade Services, and Customer Service processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including concepts like Scrum boards, Features, Epics, and Stories.
  • Ability to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and risks, developing actionable solutions.
  • A proactive learning mindset to embrace new tools and technologies while driving effective transformation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to engage with diverse teams and align goals effectively.
