ROLE OVERVIEW
Developers for SABRE Stress Testing Platform and Market Risk Batch contribute towards ‘Risk Platform Enhancement’ initiative and ‘Stress Testing’ workstreams deliveries under ‘FM Risk’ segment.
SABRE Stress Platform and Market Risk Batch are the market risk, trade valuations, and stress loss computation layer for the Bank catering to several stakeholders including Risk Management, Product Control, Front Office, Valuation Control, Operations etc. The platforms have several upstream sources of data and operate on an agreed OLA with downstream systems. With regulatory changes and internal recommendation, these platforms require continuous enhancements and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
Technology Stack:
- Java concurrency / asynchronous event-based programming
- Kafka 3.x
- Spark 3.5.x + some general knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
- Kubernetes (developing and running containerized applications, not administration)
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Test Driven Development
- Behavior Driven Development
- Continuous build, integration, and deployment solutions (such as Jenkins)
- Following Agile Methodologies to deliver software iteratively and incrementally
Domain Knowledge:
- Knowledge of financial instruments and derivatives, trading, and risk management, market data, and market risk processes and methodologies
- Understanding of risk measures, risk analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of at least one specific asset class / line of financial instruments
Qualification:
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Should have a degree in subjects such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics
Behavioral and soft skills:
- Strong analytical & problem solving and creative skills
- Good communication skills in both written and oral English
- Ability to be organized and multi-task on different requirements across various stakeholders, and to work independently and under pressure
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and geographies
