Role Profile

Our Japan team is looking for a seasoned Senior Digital Marketing Manager, who will focus on driving awareness and demand generation through integrated digital campaign execution. This role will be responsible for planning and executing digital marketing campaigns through various online channels in support of business goals. 

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Japan will partner closely with various internal and external teams including Global Digital Marketing, Brand & Campaigns, Marketing Operations, Web teams as well as agency partners to develop, test and optimize campaigns. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of digital marketing across various channels including SEM, display, social, content syndication, web, email, webinar and experience in establishing and managing digital marketing operations to deliver against set KPIs in Japan.  

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with APJ/global marketing teams to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns in Japan
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective users and what drives them to convert into clicks and leads
  • Plan and execute Japan paid media and demand gen campaigns in partnership with APJ digital lead and Japan field marketing to exceed the set demand goals
  • Organic social media program management and execution in partnership with APJ social lead and agency teams
  • Establish processes and allocate resources to constantly monitor and optimize the always-on paid media investment to increase program return
  • Manage Zscaler Japan accounts in Google Ads, LinkedIn ads, Facebook ads, etc, to manage the execution, improve campaign performance and drive revenue growth
  • Build reports that summarize engagements, leads and other performance data into actionable insights across the business
  • Identify and implement best strategies for direct response and branding campaigns
  • Communicate news and updates to ensure that field teams are aware of and make full use of the digital program
  • Manage projects against goals and to budgets
  • Manage agencies, vendors, contractors, and service providers

The Ideal Profile:

  • 10+ years working in digital marketing, paid media marketing, user acquisition, and demand gen areas - web and SEO experience is a plus
  • Experience with audience segmentation and dynamic content
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and testing tools
  • Experience with marketing automation systems and digital marketing tools
  • Comfortable working with numbers, KPIs, and optimizing conversion rates while thinking strategically
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written in English and Japanese - localization experience is a plus
  • Takes accountability for the results and ROI of every project, tracking each program on an ongoing basis to ensure closed-loop lead follow-up and conversion.
  • Highly numerate, enjoys analysis and can derive business insights from data to make smart decisions
  • Is tech savvy and proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of salesforce.com CRM an advantage
  • “In the know” about leading digital marketing trends in Japan, and bringing new ideas for amplification and conversions 
  • Strong creative instincts bringing a fresh perspective and new ideas to the team
