Job Description

We are looking for a visionary and experienced Architect to join our Zscaler SRE team and have an impact on our platform and tooling capabilities . You will bring your understanding of building and scaling and reliable systems with a recognized reputation as an industry expert. You will provide strategic direction and technical leadership for our SRE Platform and tooling capabilities; oversee the development and deployment of solutions and ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of the business. You will report to Senior Director - SRE.

Responsibilities

Provide Technical leadership and vision for designing the SRE Platform and tooling requirements in the AIOPS and Observability spaces
Collaborate with teams to develop a scalable,, and secure platform architecture that meets our needs.
Lead the exploration and adoption of latest technologies, ensuring that the platform remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
Mentor engineering teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and learning.
Collaborate with product management to align technical strategies with our goals and contribute to the product roadmap.
Work with SRE teams and partner engineering teams to guide reliable solutions to drive industry-leading reliability of the Zscaler Cloud.
Improve testing and release strategies to ensure new enhancements/features can address target use cases.
Become a valued leader in the SRE leadership organization and guide tooling adoption and SRE best practice across Zscaler
Be a technical promoter, representing us at conferences, contributing to open-source projects, and promoting expertise in the industry.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
12+ years of experience in the Observability, Tooling and Automation space
Experience of AIOPs and the use of AI/ML to lead operational efficiency and scale.
Experienced in the culture of SRE in comparable technology environments.
Technical foundation in operational tooling - Observability, Monitoring, Automations.
Experience delivering products as cloud-based services.
Solid experience engaging technical teams to discuss use cases, review feature/function requirements and define solutions.
