Job Description
Our mission is to develop a cross-platform client application for Windows, MacOS, Android, IOS and Linux in securing the device traffic. You will have domain expertise in developing networking applications on one or more platforms. You will have worked on a VPN client or similar client application and understand the intricacies of multi-version multi-platform networking client apps. This is a technical leadership position; you will help evolve concepts to products; for our customers. You will lead all aspects of product development lifecycle – requirements research, discussion/analysis, design estimation, implementation , code reviews and unit testing, documentation, POCs, deployment and continuing engineering. You will be the go-to person for the engineers, PMs and management for technical consultation. In this role as an individual contributor, you will report to the VP, Shared Platform Services. This is a remote-friendly position.
Responsibilities
- Build the best Window's endpoint networking applications to securely forward traffic to ZScaler Cloud
- Improve, brainstorm, prototype and tinker to expand the product areas
- Collaborate with internal ZScaler teams as domain expert for Endpoint platform
- Research into new areas of technical areas as the product expands
- Estimate complex projects and help implement project plans
- Be the technical subject matter expert and help resolve customer deployment issues and advocate for the product
- Collaborate with Product Managers to fulfill product roadmap and with Technology partners to bring solutions to market
- Build technical solutions involving third-party products, open source and partners
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years software engineering experience with 5 years as an architect
- 5+ years in networking Windows's Endpoint development (Additional experience in MacOS or Android or IOS or Linux is welcomed)
- Knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and services - DNS, DHCP. HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS
- Experience with Web Proxy, VPN clients and endpoint firewall
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Knowledge of user Authentication mechanisms
- Experience with complexities of a secure and hardened cross-platform software development
- Mobile device Management (MDM) and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)
- Experience developing cross platform end points

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
