Software Engineer-Java

The Zscaler engineering team has built the world's largest cloud security platform from the ground up — and it just keeps building. With more than 100 patents and big plans for enhancing platform services and increasing its global footprint, the team is taking the Zscaler multi-tenant architecture from a creative idea back in 2008 to today's cloud security leader, with more than 15 million users in 185 countries.

You are those who are Full Stack developers, understand open stack technology components and development tools, with proficiency in Spring framework, cloud technologies like AWS/Azure/any other cloud, RESTful APIs, micro-service architecture and NoSQL databases. You are also proficient with cloud design patterns and data structures, and love to code. We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our IT/Strategy team. This role is based out in Bangalore , India. Reporting to the Director of the Group.

Responsibilities /What You'll Do

You are required to develop high quality software using Full-Stack development components, across UI, middleware and backend layers
Design, developing and maintain high-quality Java / spring applications, microservices using the Spring, Python, NodeJS stacks, following industry wide standard webapp and microservice architecture principles
Collaborate with SME's teams(Business/Salesforce/Integration) to understand project requirements and deliver scalable, reliable and modular software solutions
Implement cloud-based services and solutions using one of AWS/Azure/GCS technologies
Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other applications
Work with QA and other engineering teams to investigate and resolve production issues

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

4+ years of software development experience with expertise in Java development, RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, Cloud native application(AWS or any cloud).
Knowledge of cloud design patterns, data structures, and software engineering best practices
Experience with traditional databases and APIs in REST web services and microservices, ReactJS
Proficiency in Spring framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring MVC
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
Must have developed middle-tier or backend java apps for web applications
Some experience with Hibernate or Object-relational mapping frameworks
CI/CD principles, pipeline development experience, familiarity with the JSON, XML
Experience with browser debugging and profiling tools
AWS/GCP developer certification.
