Role Description

  • Work within Capco’s Group FP&A team to deliver robust and timely financial data and analysis. The role requires a high degree of analytical capability, quickly coming to grips with data and financial performance, and equally strong interpersonal skills, developing positive long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and business partnering.
  • Perform the FPA month end close process, reviewing and ensuring inputs from the finance teams are submitted on time & to the standard expected. Responsibility for actual performance and rolling forecasts.
  • Quickly understand financial performance (including IFRS Income Statements), using variance or other analysis to understand and highlight issues, trends, and business performance.
  • Communicating performance narratives clearly to senior stakeholders with high degree of verbal / written / Excel communication skills.
  • Pro-actively improve the reporting process and reporting templates to ensure consistent and efficient reporting across the group. Will need to leverage functionality of existing reporting systems & tools and may need to help implement new, fit-for-purpose systems & tools
  • Work on the yearly budgeting processes covering timing, communications, and reporting.
  • Review Project financials with Management / Leadership and respective project stakeholders.
  • The FP&A team monitors performance of 10 geographies, as well as various departments and cost centres. This will require flexibility and adaptability, while offering high scope for ownership and variety. It also requires the candidate to develop strong relationships with geography and department Heads.
  • Ensure FPA processes are documented and reviewed regularly to ensure best practice is followed
  • Regular interaction with Group Financial Controller and Head of FP&A.

Skills and Expertise

  • Preferred Big 4 (ACA/ACCA), and FP&A experience advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to effectively delver concise output and messaging using Excel and written communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate improvements through business process re-engineering within FP&A
  • Strong interpersonal skills; in building relationships, managing expectations in interacting with all levels of management
  • Able to operate in quickly changing environments whilst being well organized, pro-active and deadline driven
  • Experience of working in a company with responsibility for multiple legal entities or operations
  • Excellent Excel skills and prior experience of Anaplan planning software or similar is desirable
