Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Ltd. based in London, is seeking a bright and organised professional to serve as a Paralegal to work on data protection, regulatory and corporate matters.
This position requires a highly organised, motivated, and proactive person who pays attention to detail, can multitask and quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have strong teamworking skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the day-to-day legal requirements of the business including, compliance, risk, ops, management, and other functions.
Review and proof reading of legal documentation.
Legal research and analysis related to a range of matters including, data protection, regulatory, insolvencies, corporate and other matters.
Testing IB account applications and collecting information to assist in drafting specifications for new functions, procedures, products, or tools.
Archiving and organisation of contracts, including uploading of contracts to the Legal Agreements Database.
Communicating with developers for implementation/rolling out of new/revised legal documentation.
Coordinating the execution of legal documentation within the IB Group entities.
Assist with general office administrative tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in law (minimum 2:1) or equivalent.
Paralegal experience is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a legal setting or in the financial services industry is desirable.
Experience with regulatory, corporate and commercial law is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is desirable.
Fluent in English; any additional languages such as French or German are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Terms and Conditions:
Candidates are on a probationary period of six (3 + 3 if required) months from the date of joining.
Candidates must have a British passport or a qualifying work permit/residency to work in UK.
