About the Job:

As a Principal Consultant with RISC, you will work with leading national mortgage lenders to reduce multiple risks factors.  Your well-grounded insights will influence actions taken by managers and executives, both proactively and in real-time problem-solving situations, within comprehensive programs.  In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams of 10 or more- consultants and analysts, identifying risk and compliance issues, developing and proposing viable, cost-effective solutions, and partnering with the client to implement those solutions.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Lead a team of consultants, subject matter experts, and analysts in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead and participate on client engagements and prepare clear, concise and accurate reports of findings and recommendations
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with client peers
  • Understand and anticipate changing client needs
  • Develop policies and procedures, as well as programs for training, assessment and change management
  • Plan and execute projects as needed by client
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory updates and present to client leadership
  • Actively pursue opportunities to develop expertise, drive innovation and raise visibility of the RISC team’s capabilities
  • Expand revenue from existing clients

What You’ll Bring with You:

  • 7+ years in mortgage originations compliance and project management
  • Experience in leading and managing a medium-to-large team required
  • Prior consulting experience highly preferred
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of mortgage originations operations, products, and investor requirements
  • Expert knowledge of mortgage regulations, including TILA, RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA
  • Problem solving skills; both analytical and interpersonal
  • Ability to lead a team of subject matter experts to develop, present, and deliver complex solutions to highly valued clients
  • Ability to effectively communicate with C-level client executives
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • CRCM preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
