For our smart data & analytics account we are looking for an Account Director (m/f/div) to help our client build the foundations to make data-driven and integrated decisions across the business. You will be leading the strategic direction of all data & analytics projects working alongside the Heads of Data from both DEPT® and smart. You will develop synergies with the Marketing and Technology teams and move fast and agile shaping the future of the automotive and EV industry.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell

  • Manage the account team and supervise workstream leads and other staff to ensure projects meet client expectations, are delivered on time, and within budget. 
  • Work with teams to develop materials, coordinate events and provide support and direction.
  • Oversee the day-to-day requirements needed to complete tasks and objectives of each data workstream and always be in sync with the progress of the projects.
  • Maintain relationships and communications with key stakeholders and serve as the main point of contact and liaison for data & analytics topics in the account.
  • Develop the account holistically together with other workstream owners and executive sponsors.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of smart’s data strategy, strategy pillars and initiatives together with the consulting team.
  • Motivate and mentor the account team to hit goals and produce successful materials as well as providing feedback.
  • Ownership of the account staffing plan, coordinate international staffing and end-to-end control  the budget for data projects.
  • Receive and agree on new briefings, pitch new projects and provide monthly status reporting to DEPT® management.

YOU

  • Have at least 5-10 years of experience in account management or account director roles.
  • Have high interest in data, analytics, marketing technology and digital transformation and have successfully completed different projects in any of these topics.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Marketing Science, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Enjoy working in a cross-functional team, Know how to act as a committed team player and appreciate constructive feedback to grow beyond yourself.
  • Have strong experience in stakeholder management and commercial/negotiation skills. 
  • Time-management, organization and leadership skills.
  • Speak English fluently and German would be a big plus.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills and the ability to convey complex topics in a clear, concise and actionable way.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a big plus.
  • Preferred Experience in the clients / accounts where there were Data, Analytics and Technology work streams.
