This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more! 

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Designer, you will be creating engaging designs that start conversations between people and brands. You will be part of a small team of creative, composed by 2 designers and 1 copywriter to deliver impactful designs that fulfil client briefs and communicate DEPT®’s standard of Design. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand project requirements and concepts; working on a brief from start to finish
  • Produce final design solutions
  • Creating marketing display banners from scratch
  • Animate engaging and disruptive videos for social
  • Work closely with the production team to deliver multiple campaigns at the same time
  • Use feedback from your peers as well as leaders to improve standard of work
  • Pitch creative ideas where relevant that enhance projects
  • Liaise with the client and explain design thinking
  • Research latest design trends to put into practice
  • Apply industry trends and innovations to day to day work
  • Being able to bring creative and new ideas by respecting brand guidelines and client demands.

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • You will have a genuine love for the medium, and in particular digital marketing
  • Good eye for visual design and understanding of visual elements; layout, type and fonts
  • Experience with design software including Adobe Suite (Predominantly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma.
  • Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
  • Ability to design in small web placements
  • Good typesetting & retouching skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent team player and problem solving aptitude
  • Self-driven with an inquisitive nature
