You will proactively orchestrate the roll out of systems, processes, and programmes to help us continuously raise the talent bar and drive the business to the next level.

You will be expected to be comfortable building and advocating HR best practice for a rapidly scaling business who need proactive HR BPs to get ahead of people related challenges and issues. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide business leaders and specifically the COO with pragmatic advice in resolving complex people issues and educating Deliveroo management and teams on HR policies and programmes
  • Partner with the business to scale effectively - understand and support the opportunities and challenges for their teams 
  • Help in the continuous “build and improve” project for a company that is still only 8 years old - define and shape the people plan and all its components for the largest department at Deliveroo, the Marketplace department
  • Collaborate closely with People Operations, Recruiting, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Legal teams to support thoughtful, seamless people solution delivery
  • Cultivate a strong Marketplace leadership team building their soft skills with regular communication and learning exchanges
  • Provide insights and recommendations for day-to-day operational improvement based on self serve data (e.g. takeaways from engagement survey, etc)
  • Own and lead Employee Relations and Investigations alongside other team members ensuring that the processes are handled fairly, consistently and in a timely manner

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in HR business partnership, preferably with exposure to scaling commercial teams and/or consumer-centric tech organisations
  • Proven ability to successfully tailor and implement people programmes, including performance review processes, talent development programmes, and HR policies and practices
  • Consistently exhibits high intellect and structured thinking. Robust ability to make prompt, clear decisions when faced with tough difficult tradeoffs or uncertainty.
  • Track record of excellent influence and stakeholder management skills across organisational levels and non-technical and technical teams alike
  • Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction; is able to manage energy effectively and consistently deliver under predictable and high-pressure situations alike
  • Expertise in mentoring and developing talent to rapidly achieve growth goals
  • Friendly, approachable demeanour and communication style
