About the Team and Role
We are looking for a Commercial Counsel to support our business which currently includes operations in the international markets in Asia and the Middle East, with a specific focus on Hong Kong and Singapore. The successful candidate will report into our Legal Director responsible for these markets and sit within our UAE team in Dubai. This position will be based in our Dubai office on a hybrid working basis.
What you'll be doing
- Be able to advise on appropriate actions for any commercial agreement supply or demand side (including drafting and negotiating).
- Support the partner teams, to ensure that Deliveroo provides the best selection in every neighbourhood it operates in.
- Support the marketing team launch campaigns both online and offline, including drafting terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and key legislative changes.
- Resolve consumer complaints and handle commercial intellectual property issues and disputes.
- Proactively identify and support process improvements within the legal team to help optimise and drive excellent and efficient legal support.
- Travel to all of our markets, and travel to Singapore and Hong Kong on a regular basis.
Requirements
- At least 4 years Post Qualification Experience in the commercial department at a leading law firm
- Excellent academics and training.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
- Curiosity and hunger for learning and happy to "roll sleeves up" and turn your hand to anything.
