Social Media Executive

Purpose of Job: 

As the Social Media Executive will manage all Deliveroo social media channels as part of the brand team. You will manage the creative development of all content against the social media plans. You will also support translating and copy writing all Arabic content for the UAE. You will report to the Senior Brand Manager in the UAE and be based in our Dubai office (DIFC). We are operating on a hybrid model, and you will come into the office three times a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other teams to manage social media content creation and production for restaurants, grocers, and retailers. This includes managing shoots with the commercial teams, along with producing content related to new additions of brands to our platform, and promotion of tactical offers from existing brands.
  • Brief design team and agencies on creatives and manage all the projects.
  • Work with the Brand team and the global social team on creating brand social content. This includes research, content strategy development, brainstorming, creative development, launching content on all channels, boosting content, community management, and regular reporting. 
  • Be the main POC with the social media agency to manage the daily content development and the monthly social calendars. This includes briefing campaigns, producing all assets for different Roo social channels (including shoots), writing captions, posting content, and finally reporting on all social content and social pages performances.
  • Facilitate localisation of global campaigns on social channels through audience specific copywriting in English and Arabic
  • Take ownership of Arabic copywriting for the UAE and Qatar

Requirements:

  • This role is open only to UAE National
  • UAE passport & Family book (Khulasat Al Qaid)
  • Fluent written and spoken Arabic is essential
  • 1 year of work experience on the different social media platforms, i.e., Meta, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Degree in marketing, communication studies, journalism, creative writing, or similar.
  • Up to date on all the social trends/lingo and industry best practices.
  • Good knowledge of hyperlocal nuances and insights.
  • Basic knowledge of social media performance metrics.

  • Current social media work experience
  • Knowledge on social media listening and reporting tools
  • Knowledge on social media business suites is also
  • Photography and editing skills
