The Role

Our packaging team is focused around (1) driving revenue on the back of packaging sales to our restaurants globally (2) establish us as an expert in sustainable packaging and (3) helping restaurants deliver the best in-home delivery experience with innovative packaging solutions. We are in search of an enthusiastic, motivated and talented Ecommerce Manager to join our packaging team & manage our shopify powered website for restaurants to order packaging via Deliveroo. This role will report to our Packaging Manager and sits in the broader Restaurant Strategy team, whose mission is to set the vision for the restaurant side of the Deliveroo marketplace and position Deliveroo as the strategic partner of choice for our restaurant partners. 

Your remit will be wide ranging from managing the day to day running of the shopify website to identifying how we can grow acquisition through organic and marketing to our restaurants globally. This is a relatively new role with an ability to not only to improve our overall packaging trading but drive our aims to accelerate the growth of our packaging business,  extend our e-commerce platform to new categories, and broaden our geographic coverage. We’ve just started scratching the surface on the value we can generate for Deliveroo and restaurants and looking for someone with a keenness to help us drive our business to the next level. 


What you’ll be doing

  1. Product management: Ensure our product imagery, pricing, descriptions are maintained on the marketplace. This will include managing existing products, but also supporting new product additions to the platform.  
  2. Stock management: Ensure product availability for all products, liaising with suppliers when necessary to ensure we have a continuous supply of products
  3. Website optimisation: Work with existing shopify tools to optimise our web-presence including optimisation for SEO, high conversion and easy usability 
  4. Analysis & reporting: providing regular updates to team leads around performance to date, taking a data led approach to define new opportunities to grow the gross sales via the platform
  5. Marketing and promotion coordination: working with internal stakeholders to utilise the existing communication channels (email, Deliveroo websites, account management teams) to drive new customer acquisition and overall sales growth.
  6. New channel and product development: support the Packaging Manager to roll out new product lines, categories and expand geographical



  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a commercial drive
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills essential
  • Technical experience with ecommerce platforms particularly Shopify
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Strong analytical skills - able to join quantitative and qualitative data & synthesize these into outcome led insights.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills including the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and working across all levels of an organization 

Preferred, but not required:

  • Familiarity with restaurants and / or marketplaces a plus
  • Prior startup experience
