When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 6 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city. Fast forward 6 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

In Deliveroo we are strongly aware that Riders are the essence of what we do and we work hard to continuously improve the experience of Deliveroo Riders. Our goal is to have a constant dialogue with the Rider community and to source, identify and execute on activities that makes Deliveroo the best company to ride with. 


You will work within the Rider Engagement team, reporting to the head of department, to identify, plan, proactively approach, negotiate and execute all rider partnerships end-to-end in Italy. It includes sourcing new national & local level partnerships, from bike and scooter repairing shops, to national and international companies. 


  • Generate pipeline of partnerships, manage inbounds and work closely with regional leads to drive negotiation and execution.

  • Spot innovative new opportunities and develop strategies that hit our objectives. Model out opportunities, create business cases and implement new partnership concepts.

  • Ability to work with a wide range of partners and maintain regular communication with these partners to ensure Deliveroo are maximising partnership opportunities for the rider fleet

  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Italian Rider Operations team and the Global Partnerships Team, identifying efficiencies and ensuring any market-specific trends or challenges are solved through local relationships or central influence

  • Detailed understanding of the rider experience and an understanding of which partnerships would be beneficial to riders, including keeping a close eye on rider feedback and sentiment

  • Ensuring up to date partnerships information across all rider communication platforms

  • 2+ years of Sales, Account Management or Partnerships experience

  • Strong negotiator and executor. You’ll need to onboard partners, find optimal partnership structures and get deals done; you’re managing the end-to-end process and can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty

  • Effective internal stakeholder management, working across various departments including commercial, marketing, etc

  • Extremely organised and able to multitask

  • Strong quantitative understanding of what a good partnership looks like in financial terms for both a rider and the business

  • Willingness to go above and beyond a normal 10-19; this could include testing products and speaking to riders to gain an understanding of the rider experience

  • Superb attention to detail. As Deliveroo is leading the charge on rider engagement best practice, on-time and efficient measurement/reporting on partnership activity is crucial

  • Italian mother tongue and business proficient in English
