When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city. Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 14 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allow us to deliver our orders in under 30 minutes.

The Role

  • We are looking for an experienced F&B professional to execute ambitious growth plans in Dubai and elsewhere in the region as we scale multi channel delivery based formats

  • This role will have overall responsibility for delivering operational metrics and key cost line controls across different formats as well as the recruitment and retention of a growing team of chefs and kitchen leads to deliver franchise solutions in target specific locations. 

  • Working with the commercial team and across central HQ functions the Head of Site Operations will input into and help develop the strategic options for Deliveroo Editions at this exciting time for the business


Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering operational performance and maximising opportunity throughout a broad range of delivery and retail focused formats

  • Key accountability for operational and labour cost lines as well as franchise performance in line with budget / business case expectations

  • Full responsibility for delivering system compliance across multiple cuisine kitchen operations as well as managing operational relationships

  • Establishing operational and administrative procedures, process flows and efficiencies in line with overall aims around prep time speed (and accuracy), compliance and customer experience

  • Maintain reporting responsibilities in line with the overall site ops org as well as with local market Deliveroo requirements

  • Ensure customer service levels and specifically app ratings are maintained at the highest level

  • Building strong team to reinforce core values and facilitate location growth in line with target expectations

  • Work across functions to deliver new market launch opportunities for Deliveroo Editions and synch with local market aims and objectives



  • A high calibre food professional with 10+ years experience in multi-site branded operations with full P&L responsibility

  • Superb organisational, leadership and administrative skills

  • Strong knowledge of GCC operations and statutory requirements with franchising or concession experience

  • Able to evidence strong communication and influencing skills with experience in managing internal and external relationships at all levels

  • Key cost control disciplines including stock management systems and labour efficiency models

  • Understanding of food safety management principles with the ability to flex approach according to market and to think creatively to overcome challenges

  • Delivery platform experience a benefit but not essential

  • A talent for identifying problems and implementing systems and controls to resolve

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where change happens quickly

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Willingness to travel / relocate
