Based in Taiwan and reporting to the City Launcher, the City Leads will be a cross departmental role respoinsible for supporting our Commercial, Operations and Marketing teams. As Taiwan is a newly launched market, the City Leads will be heavily involved in all facets of launching and sustaining growth in new zones/cities in Taiwan. The City Leads will be assigned a zone to cover and are here to leverage their extended knowledge and insights in the local market to help us win the market and bring value across our three stakeholders through offline initiatives. Ultimately, City Leads will complete this 12 week program feeling proud that they were able to ignite growth to the zones that they cover and also develop professionally by having exposure in functions across the entire business

Specifically, this role is responsible for:

  • Commercial (40%): Improve restaurant relationship, increase Deliveroo’s value add to restaurant partners, and ensure that Deliveroo TW is cognizant of any movements from our competitors by:

    • Conducting in person interviews with restaurant owners to understand their challenges, what competitors are doing better, and how Deliveroo can better partner with them

    • Identifying local gems in the City Lead’s respective coverage area and initiating discussions for the BDM team

    • Managing restaurant relationships by being the first touch point for restaurants in answering their phone/email queries

    • Improving efficiency in restaurant operations, on-boarding, and menu page conversion by supporting the PSC team


  • Marketing (40%): Increase Deliveroo’s brand awareness and accelerate growth hyper locally by

    • Executing offline marketing initiatives such as flyering, maximizing visibility of Deliveroo branded rx signage in their respective coverage area

    • Monitor competitors’ offline marketing activities, ad trends and archives

    • Lead planning & execution of different hyperlocal marketing campaigns with other departments and external vendors


  • Operations (20%): Improve rider relationship and zone specific operations by

    • Conducting interviews with Deliveroo/competitor riders to understand specific pain points related to the specific zone

    • Supporting live operations team in resolving time sensitive challenges for riders





  • Unrestricted work authorization in Taiwan

  • Fluency in English

  • Penultimate year in college/graduate school in Taiwan with great knowledge in the local market

  • Must be available for 40 hours per week with no holidays booked during course of internship


  • Prior experience in startups / launch phase companies

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications

  • Motorcycle license
