UK & Ireland is the domestic region and the largest business for Deliveroo, and is at the forefront of strategic, commercial and operational innovation.

The Strategy and Initiatives team help resolve the most difficult and important issues facing the business, and and sustain our exciting momentum: setting company strategy, understanding and sharing the drivers our business, developing new opportunities, and resolving hard trade-offs, and facilitating world-class execution. 


What you’ll be doing

In this role you’ll be helping to solve some of the most challenging and exciting strategic questions we have to answer to become the definitive food business.  Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the formulation of the long term vision and strategy for the UK and Ireland, as well as structuring its successful implementation and execution  
  2. Working closely with the UKI Chief Business Officer and broader Exec team to understand what is driving performance, and what we can do to further improve on an ongoing basis
  3. Leading strategic projects across the UK & Ireland, coordinating across functions within the country teams and also central teams to make sure we deliver
  4. Alongside the Strategy and Finance Director managing the development of monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting, performance, budget and headcount processes 
  5. Focusing in particular on restaurants and restaurant selection 



  • 3-4 years’ experience working closely with senior leadership or leadership experience in a fast-moving environment - for example, at a leading management consultancy
  • Exceptional problem-solving, from structuring issues to designing workstreams
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, commercial, mindset, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Clear communication skills
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams without authority
  • Helpful: relevant domain expertise, for example in restaurants and hospitality, B2B sales, growth startups, online marketplaces, hyperlocal businesses.
