Global Real Estate Analyst

Based in our London HQ and reporting into the Global Real Estate Lead this is a brand new role giving you the opportunity to join the team at the beginning of our journey and having your say in what real estate looks like at Deliveroo.

This is a 1 year FTC with the potential to go permanent.

There will be three key elements to this role:


  • Partnering with business and regional stakeholders to accommodate tactical / short-term employee space requirements and provide a seamless transition process for employee moves
  • Understanding the business and objectives by speaking regularly to stakeholders and updating them on global projects
  • Complete analysis and make recommendations on strategic real estate issues that span geographic boundaries

Real Estate

  • Assist with management of lease renewals, new site acquisitions, disposal of surplus space by way of assignment, subletting and surrender
  • Coordinating teams of brokers, consultants, project managers, lawyers, etc. to develop solutions and then deliver them.
  • Reviewing the Deliveroo portfolio against market data
  • Management of our relationships with real estate brokers
  • Assisting with the appointment, in most cases, a real estate broker to negotiate with the landlord or landlord's broker
  • Ensuring the execution of the lease documentation
  • Acting as an "internal expert" in respect of matters relating to the management of Deliveroo’s occupied portfolio globally
  • Advise on day-to-day landlord and tenant relationships as required
  • Advising on dilapidation and make-good provisioning
  • Co-ordinate advice on the Deliveroo's dilapidations liabilities and obligations at lease expiry
  • Track real estate market across all cities where Deliveroo has an office, leveraging our relationships with brokers


  • Lease event management
  • Work with the business finance team, providing real estate assumptions and co-ordinating other inputs, to run financial models for options being considered and presented.
  • Producing the relevant papers to gain internal approval in a timely manner
  • Track space utilisation and occupancy cost data globally
  • Draft clear and persuasive business cases to gain approval for real estate projects
  • Keep portfolio data up to date

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • BSc or BA in Real Estate or related field (or equivalent experience), MRICS or similar designation a plus
  • Must have at least 2 years EMEA occupier side corporate real estate experience
  • 2-3 years of global corporate real estate experience, preferably experience in the technology industry or a similar fast paced/high growth organisation/industry
  • Supplier Management skills, especially managing real estate brokers globally
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and through constant change
  • Must be a self-confident individual possessing a strength of personality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and colleagues
  • Experienced negotiator of real estate transactions, particularly as the occupier
  • Display the ability to translate strategic initiatives into tactical implementation plans, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drill into the detail
  • Experience in managing and negotiating heads of terms, leases and writing business cases
  • Good grasp of financial and accounting aspects of real estate transactions
  • Well-organised; able to keep many projects moving simultaneously
  • Must be a self-confident individual possessing a strength of personality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Possesses the skills necessary to manage planned and unplanned projects
  • Project management experience desirable
