We're looking for an experienced Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Build & Release TEAM team. Reporting to the VP -Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Codebase Maintenance & Security scanning
  • Oversee the codebase across multiple programming languages (C, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Collaborate with development teams to address build-related issues and optimize code quality
  • Manage & run multiple vulnerability scanning of codebase
  • Version Control and Reversion Management
  • Implement and enforce version control practices using tools like Bitbucket or Git
  • Ensure proper branching strategies, code reviews, and merge processes
  • Manage code reversion and rollbacks
  • Branch Management
  • Define and maintain branching strategies (feature branches, release branches, hotfix branches)
  • Coordinate merges between branches and resolve conflicts
  • Code Merging:
  • Facilitate smooth code merges from feature branches to mainline development
  • Ensure code quality and consistency during merges
  • Develop systems to ensure that code merges are not missed

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of industry experience in the area of software Build Management and Release Engineering
  • Experience leading and being responsible for Build Management and Release Engineering processes
  • Strong Operational Experience in Linux/Unix environment
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) and version control (Git, Bitbucket)
  • Efficient scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation
  • Experience in Git/GitHub, GitOps, Git Branching strategies, Set up guardrails on Git milestones, labels
  • Execute release cutovers, plan, and coordinate events and activities
  • Expertise in Source Code Management using GitHub/BitBucket

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or version control systems
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of software security practices and vulnerability scanning
  • Solid experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance measurement
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
