We’re hiring a Senior Global Health and Safety Manager, reporting to our Global Head of Real Estate and Workplace. This is an onsite hybrid role 3x a week in our San Jose, Costa Rica office. You will develop a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to respond to the growth of business operations, ensuring the safety and security of our employees and assets across all sites. In this role, you will:
- Build our physical security program to meet scaling needs of the business, including regional security plans/programs, manage execution of site-specific security operations and manage other vendor staff to respond to incidents.
- Develop disaster event response protocols and processes.
- Review travel safety measures and recommend improvements to increasing employee security.
- Oversee the implementation of emergency response plans and procedures to respond to security incidents, natural disasters, or other emergencies.
- Build, staff and manage a Global Security Operations Center to monitor and respond to physical threats, natural disasters, and inclement weather that may affect our offices and employees 24/7. Also be the central intake for employees needing assistance during an emergency.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in Security management and 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience leading third-party logistics partners to establish security standards and loss prevention programs.
- Experience building and maintaining a safety culture and developing an Executive Protective Services program for a company of similar size or larger company.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing security operations globally.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Lead development and launch of a crisis management program.
- Depth of expertise in global security, business continuity, risk resiliency, crisis management, or similar area of focus.
- Have knowledge in emergency/disaster management, physical security, residential security, operation/logistical planning, critical incident management, risk management and business resiliency.
