We're looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager (Backend) to join our Share Platform Services team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you'll be responsible for:
- Manage a team of engineers to develop high-quality software that is performant, scalable, reusable, secure, supportable, and reliable.
- Guide the development and continuous improvement of a SaaS product, ensuring it meets market needs and maintains a competitive edge.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-availability distributed systems using technologies like Kafka and Elasticsearch.
Job Location : Bangalore / Pune
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a understanding of technologies like AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Java/Spring frameworks.
- Minimum of 3+ years of management experience, with experience leading engineering teams in a technical environment.
- Hands-on coding/programming experience at production level is must.
- Track record in developing SaaS products.
- Experience managing multiple projects and ensuring delivery within timelines and specifications, especially in a distributed team setting.
- To communicate complex technical concepts to all partners, and to facilitate communication across dispersed teams.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Strategize on the development of scalable web and responsive applications
- Oversee multiple software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meeting technical standards.
- Work with product managers, and other departments to ensure projects are aligned with our goals.
- Promote best practices, continuous integration, and testing to ensure quality software delivery.
- Identify technical and process-related risks and devise strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the team is up to date with the latest technologies and methodologies through training and professional growth opportunities.
- Experience with data analysis and data analytics tools.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, messaging services and in-memory cache.
