What you will do

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation pipelines to solve complex engineering problems related to delivering software & infrastructure
  • Build and maintain the Cloud Platforms that power Vonage Software & Services
  • Develop reusable cost efficient architecture frameworks, baselines and best practices for globally distributed platforms & teams
  • Evangelising the use of Serverless, Containerization and Cloud Native platform design.  
  • Proof of Concept testing on open source tools, frameworks and software to assess the fit for our environment & teams
  • Design, Build and Deliver Tools & Infrastructure to help engineering teams increase their velocity and delivery high quality software & services
  • Collaborate with others to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues related to our Cloud Platform and related tools 
  • Acting as a thought leader on security topics with a firm understanding of encryption in all forms, micro-segmentation and data security.
  • Assess usage and utilization trends to make appropriate design and implementation recommendations towards scaling our architecture

What is required for application


·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.

·        You have 5+ yrs experience working as a Full Stack Developer (or as near to full stack as possible)

·        Working experience with design BODM solutions (Build once deploy Multiple times) architectures.

·        Experience with object-oriented/object functional scripting languages - Polyglots preferably with a Python specialty. 

·        Hands-on experience working with platform automation tools including (any or all of the following) Cloudformation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or Chef

·        Hands-on experience working with common CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Concourse or Codepipeline (in conjunction with common build systems like Codebuild)

·        Hands-on experience building and maintaining database systems (Relational or NoSQL)  

·        Strong Understanding and practical experience with AWS Cloud Security Structures & Services (Significant experience with building IAM Policies)

·        Strong Understanding of No Trust and Least Privilege Security Frameworks 

·        Strong understanding of general infrastructure (DNS, Network Principles, etc ) and  emerging application design patterns (micro services, layered application design, serverless and how these things fit in the CI/CD realm)

·        Ability to write code that glues together various applications that were never meant to speak to each other in order to produce reliable automated solutions

·        Familiarity with Git, Gitlab or Github (& GitFlow) or other DVCS                                         

·        Ability to design and maintain deployment processes in large environments

·        Have the ability to work independently and take concepts from ideation to implementation with minimal oversight.
