JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to focus on managing and optimizing our organization's IT accounts, software licenses, and related assets. This role will involve performing account clean-ups, managing licensing inventories, ensuring compliance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing license types. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, technical know-how, and experience with software licensing and asset management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management & Clean Up

- Audit user accounts, identifying inactive or redundant accounts.
- Implement processes to deactivate or remove unnecessary accounts (requires continuous collaboration with business teams).
- Ensure proper user access levels and maintain security protocols for accounts.
- Day-to-day management of Okta and Snipe IT as inventories of software and hardware

License Management

- Track and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with license agreements.
- Compare various licensing models and identify the best fit for the organization's needs.
- Monitor license usage and optimize license distribution to avoid under-utilization or over-licensing.

Financial Optimization

- Collaborate with the Financial Analyst on a continuous analysis process on existing software and service license costs and look for cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with vendors to negotiate better terms, discounts, or additional benefits (in close collaboration with Asset Owners and Global Heads of IT / Support).
- Provide recommendations on license consolidation and cost-effective alternatives (in close and continuous collaboration with the Financial Operations team).

Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain detailed documentation of license agreements, renewals, and account changes.
- Provide insights to management on potential improvements in IT account and license management.

In this role you work closely together with a Financial Analyst that has a focus on IT licensing spend. Also, close collaboration with IT Support engineers and Asset Owners is required to ensure we get the best out of the systems, licenses and usage.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Over 2 years of experience in IT support, account management, or software licensing.
- Strong understanding of licensing types, software asset management, and IT inventory best practices.
- Experience working with software vendors and managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of IT systems, user access controls, and compliance regulations.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, license management software, and IT ticketing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
