Based in Ireland, this role is part of our Engineering team, where we are looking for a skilled DevOps engineer with a passion for innovation and technical excellence. The right candidate will have a strong background in creating and optimising resilient infrastructure and deployment pipelines, always with a focus on quality and reliability. They are effective communicators, comfortable engaging with clients, and can convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

As a DevOps engineer, you will be integral to automating, managing, and enhancing infrastructure, ensuring smooth, scalable digital experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering team to establish best practices that drive impactful, high-performing solutions.

 

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and work within the financial services industry, where upgrading and migrating applications to more robust and resilient solutions is critical. This role is key in enhancing infrastructure and driving improvements that support industry goals for reliability, scalability, and security.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate directly with client teams to understand and refine business requirements, bringing technical insights to shape highly effective solutions. Working closely with both the client’s team and the Dept team, you’ll foster collaboration and support project success through efficient deployment, automation, and infrastructure optimisation. This role is crucial in elevating the client’s capabilities, positioning them for sustainable growth and operational excellence.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Engage with Elastic Cloud to build and maintain a strategic working relationship.
  • Ensure best practices are established and followed during and after the migration.
  • Collaborate to support a smooth integration and long-term operational efficiency.
  • Lead the migration process from Azure Elasticsearch to Elastic Cloud.
  • Work closely with the wider Moodys team, including developers and operations to drive cross-team communication to ensure a smooth transition
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues that may arise during the transition.

 

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Kubernetes - experience in Helm and Kubernetes, specifically in Azure if possible.
  • ElasticSearch & Elastic Cloud - Understanding of Elasticsearch solutions and migrations, including integration with ElasticCloud.
  • Terraform - Knowledge of Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management - Experience in managing vendor relationships
  • Automating processes to improve efficiency
  • Other areas to be considered will be the usual CI/CD, Docker, Git etc
  • Experience within a digital agency, or in another fast moving industry is a plus
  • Highly organised and motivated person with an aptitude for understanding and solving problems
  • Understanding the value of collaborating with the team and client is very important
  • A positive outlook and strong interpersonal relationship building skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Based in Ireland
