About PayPay Card
PayPay is a FinTech company that in the five years since its launch in 2018, has surpassed 65 million users (as of August 2024) and is rapidly expanding its business scale as a payment platform used by approximately one in two smartphone users in Japan.
PayPay Card was established in 2021 to provide users with more accessible and convenient FinTech services that were previously not possible with credit cards and credit services by integrating with the PayPay payment platform. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about refining our products at an overwhelming speed that no other company can match, and promoting the spread of cashless payments in Japan and the financial life platform that uses them. Job Description
Main Responsibilities
Generative AI Product Manager (Strong in Gen AI knowledge)
- Develop automated response chatbots using Generative AI by understanding the mechanism of credit card billing and payment reminders, as well as relevant laws.
- Analyze the current AI use in the company and expand use case of Generative AI in current services.
- Develop a deep understanding of documents both in English and Japanese to understand the credit card debt management domain and the current system specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and manage the timeline of the project.
- Write technical PRD’s and work with engineering team and design team and manage the project with crucial timeline.
Product Manager (Strong in Tech)
- Execute integration projects with PayPay group or Third party companies to provide PayPay card service outside.
- Prepare slides, user flows, sequence diagrams, etc., to communicate with various stakeholders to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Develop a deep understanding of documents both in English and Japanese to understand the credit card domain and the current system specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and manage the timeline of the project.
- Write technical PRD’s including (API Spec, Sequence Diagram, Architecture) and work with engineering team and design team and manage the project with crucial timeline.
Growth Product Manager (Strong in Analysis and SQL)
- Define and prioritize the bottleneck of the users by conducting qualitative research such as user interview and questionnaire survey.
- Validate your idea by conducting quantitative analysis using SQL.
- Develop a deep understanding of documents both in English and Japanese to understand the credit card domain and the current system specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and manage the timeline of the project.
- Write PRD’s and work with engineering team and design team and manage the project with crucial timeline.
Required Qualifications
Applied to all Product Managers
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field or at least 2yrs of technical experience.
- At Least 3 years of Product Management.
- Business level of English language(written, verbal).
- Business level of Japanese language(written, verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
Generative AI Product Manager (Strong in Gen AI knowledge)
- Track record of working in a very fast paced environment or a startup.
- Reads and Understands technical documents such as API documentation.
- Experience developing LLM using RAG.
- Write clear and concise specifications for engineering and testing teams.
- Possess strong ownership and have the Get Things Done attitude.
Product Manager (Strong in Tech)
- Track record of working in a very fast paced environment or a startup.
- Reads and Understands technical documents such as Third Party API documentation.
- Experience in working with multiple engineering teams including third party company.
- Write clear and concise specifications for engineering and testing teams.
- Possess strong ownership and have the Get Things Done attitude.
Growth Product Manager (Strong in Analysis and SQL)
- Track record of working in a very fast paced environment or a startup.
- Experience in using SQL to extract and provide insights from data.
- Experience in drawing user journey, conducting qualitative research such as user interview.
- Write clear and concise specifications for engineering and testing teams.
- Possess strong ownership and have the Get Things Done attitude.

- In principle, 9:00am ~ 5:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)
