Job Description


We are looking for QA Engineers to enhance quality and speed in product development and propose improvements to the entire development process at PayPay Card.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for quality assurance (QA) tasks in product development. Specifically, you will manage and update the quality standards of PayPay Card, handle team management, and rigorously check whether the PayPay Card service is convenient and user-friendly, providing feedback to the relevant personnel.

  • Developing the testing and quality improvement process for the core system QA group.
  • Planning and designing tests for product development projects in an agile environment
  • Conducting tests using computers and smartphones
  • Reporting and providing feedback on test results
  • Negotiating and coordinating with developers, designers, and directors on assigned projects
  • Proposing and implementing improvements for the overall product development process
  • Drafting proposals, compiling contracts, and handling approval requests
  • Creating manuals


Required Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
  • QA experience with web applications or mobile applications (both Android and iOS).
  • Ability to understand and analyze technical specifications. Experience in creating test plans, designing tests, and executing them.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced development environment within the IT/Web industry (experience with agile development is a plus).
  • Experience in standardizing QA processes and methods, and proposing improvements.
  • Ability to flexibly communicate with product development teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of QA tools such as Zephyr, ALM, TestRail, TestLink, QASymphony, etc.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building up and leading a QA team.
  • Experience in driving projects in collaboration with other teams or external vendors.
  • Experience in analyzing and implementing improvements from a QA perspective in the product development process.
  • Experience in analyzing test bugs and production issues, and formulating measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Experience in proposing and introducing new QA tools in the testing process.
  • Knowledge of test automation processes and tools such as Selenium, UFT, Playwright, etc.
  • Experience in requirements definition and business impact analysis.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in automating manual tests.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • QA experience in the credit card or financial industry.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Eager to join the core system QA group as a founding member and create the QA process (such as regression testing, functional testing, and quality improvement) from scratch.
  • Interested in working on QA for the credit card life cycle (extensive functions of the core system).
  • Proactively act as a founding member by utilizing past experience working as a QA Manager, QA Leader, or in QA test design.
  • Looking to thrive in an international and diverse environment.
  • Seeking a new challenge for further growth.

  • Full Flex Time (No Core Time)
  • In principle, 9:00am ~ 5:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)

Paid leave
