We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Commercial to lead our MENA operations and drive significant revenue growth for our data products and custom research department.

As the Head of Commercial, MENA, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy to expand YouGov's market presence and achieve ambitious financial targets within the region. You will lead a high-performing team, build strong client relationships, and leverage your strong understanding of the market research/Data Analytics industry to identify new opportunities and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust commercial strategy aligned with YouGov's overall business objectives, focusing on driving sustainable revenue growth and market expansion within the MENA region.
  • Revenue Generation: Oversee all commercial activities, including new business acquisition, account management, and client retention, to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and lead a small but talented and motivated commercial team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the MENA region, understanding their specific needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Sales Operations: Optimise sales processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure efficient and effective sales execution.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new product offerings, market segments, and commercial models to maintain YouGov's competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in a senior commercial role within the market research or data analytics industry, ideally with experience in the MENA region.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Good understanding of the market research landscape, including key trends, technologies, and industry players.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.  
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, including new business acquisition and account management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required
