Role Overview:
As an Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by managing and enhancing a portfolio of key accounts. Your responsibilities will include client relationship management, renewals, cross-selling, upselling, and strategic account expansion to achieve annual growth targets. As the primary point of contact, you’ll deliver value through creative solutions, insights, and expert negotiation skills. Working closely with our talented Research and Client Services teams, you’ll ensure each client interaction is valuable and impactful. With support from the Head of Commercial, Nordics, you’ll shape the future of key accounts and sectors.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Client Relationship Management: Lead and strengthen client relationships by understanding client needs and tailoring solutions to fit.
- Account Growth: Drive growth through cross-selling, upselling, and renewals; increase account value year-over-year.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with clients to uncover custom research opportunities that add measurable value.
- C-Suite Engagement: Engage with C-suite executives to present insights, drive engagement, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts to maximize revenue and profits.
- Project Delivery: Work with Research and Client Services teams to deliver projects aligned with client needs, on time and on budget.
- CRM Management: Utilize sales pipeline management tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar CRM software) to track progress and optimize client interactions.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- Proven Account Management: Demonstrated success managing key accounts with experience in upselling, cross-selling, and portfolio growth.
- Research and Sales Expertise: Experience identifying and executing custom research projects to drive additional client value.
- Executive-Level Communication: Proven ability to interact with C-suite clients and deliver impactful presentations.
- Contract Negotiation Skills: Skilled in contract negotiation and agreement finalization to ensure maximum profitability.
- Pipeline Management Proficiency: Proficiency in tools like Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems to track and optimize the sales process.
It would be great if you had these to, but we’ll support you if you don’t:
- 5+ years in B2B client-facing roles with a strong record of successful client management and revenue growth.
- Fluency in English, and preferably Danish or Swedish.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven and structured approach.
- A team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
