Seeking an application support and maintenance specialist to join our global AMS support team. This role will involve support for ERP applications and functionality with a heavy focus on SAP. The person in this role will report to the AMS Manager with an internal stakeholder relationship with SAP architects and developers. The AMS team is responsible for supporting end users for our core business applications while working with development teams on break fixes/bugs, configuration changes, and system/job monitoring. The SAP team is responsible for the design, development and functionality of the SAP application. This role will primarily be responsible for performing support during Pacific time zone business hours.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
The core objectives of this position are:
- Advocate for the end user by providing a delightful and efficient user experience through professional, proactive communication, regular updates, and timely resolution of issues.
- A troubleshoot and analyze reported issues to resolution or escalation with root cause analysis.
- Proactively highlight and address trending issues or suggest necessary enhancements or configuration changes.
- Adequately test solutions to ensure end user adoption and smooth release transition.
- Develop and articulate solution options that incorporate user experience, scalability, security and best practices.
- Communication with internal team members and stakeholders in other time zones for requirements clarification and progress reporting.
- Perform in depth analysis to determine root cause if possible and work with developers on clarification of end user issues.
Additional objectives of this position are:
- Works closely with Business/Functional Analysts, Technical(ABAP) team members and Solution Architects
- Integration support and functionality within SAP with cross functional support into MM,CS, SD, and Finance.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations.
- A drive to take ownership of reported issues and see them through to resolution.
- Experience with a global support structure stretching over multiple time zones and cultural differences.
- 5+ years experience developing custom integrations flows with SAP Cloud Integrations (CPI) along with configuring standard content for cloud solutions like S/4HANA Cloud, SuccessFactors, etc. required.
- Possesses expertise in working with standard adapters like RFC, IDOC, JDBC, SFTP, SOAP, HTTPS, OData, etc.
- Experience with setting up KeyStore and generating SSL certificates desired.
- Able to configure proxies on SOAMANAGER and troubleshoot issues on SAP backend pertaining to CPI integrations.
- Hands on experience with Groovy Script or JavaScript desired.
- Working knowledge of web service technologies like REST, OData, SOAP required.
- Functional understanding of ABAP preferred.
- Working knowledge of security concepts like SSL, OAuth, and SAML desired.
- Strong hands on experience in different message mapping techniques (graphical mapping, XSLT mapping, etc.) desired.
- Possesses Know-how and Know-what regarding SAP interface technologies like SAP Gateway, RFC/BAPI, and IDOC.
- Functional understanding of SAP Cloud Connector desired.
