In this role your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working in close collaboration with colleagues to ensure the timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing process activities for 30+ entities across EMEA, APJ and LATAM.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, in particular for intercompany and payroll, in a timely manner and in line with corporate policy.
- Managing cost plus and intercompany accounting entries for all international entities, including intercompany settlement payments between the different entities.
- Preparation of monthly variance reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly variance analysis presentations to senior members of staff.
- Responsibility for the preparation of stock tax bookings on vesting shares and accounting for the purchase of shares arising from our company stock purchase plan.
- Liaising with colleagues to identify and implement global process improvement initiatives, including the automation of month end tasks.
- Performance and documentation of various internal controls and active participation in preparations for external audits, including the preparation of the audit files and liaising with external auditors.
- Providing business support to the FP&A teams and reviewing and approving purchase requisitions across EMEA and APJ.
- Regional ownership – take ownership for liaising with the business on countries within your remit, owning and analysing the related P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Ability to liaise across different geographies and functions, including payroll and AP, ensuring service excellence across the team whether internal or outsourced.
What you’ll need to bring to this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Prior experience in a Multi-National GL accounting month-end close role preferred.
- Strong understanding of both US GAAP and local statutory accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Presentational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a high growth and fast paced environment, and a desire to take on ad hoc projects with an “all hands-on deck” mentality.
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Other Desired Experience
- Accounting Qualification achieved in the following or similar bodies - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience with NetSuite/SAP ERP
- Experience with reconciliation software such as Blackline
