Via is re-engineering public transit, from a regulated system of rigid routes and schedules to a fully dynamic, on-demand network. Via is looking for an outstanding Public Relations Coordinator to join our team. As a PR Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for amplifying the Via brand in the press to both our consumer and business audiences around the world. This position is based in New York City.
Responsibilities and Duties
Management and maintenance of team media lists
Drafting compelling media pitches
Secure quality placement in ideally both consumer and B2B press
Daily media monitoring for Via and ViaVan
Drafts monthly coverage reports for PR Principals
Creative thinker who can develop out-of-the box solutions and storylines
Passion for technology and emerging transportation
Someone with the ability to independently handle multiple cross-functional projects at one time
Deep understanding of the consumer and trade media landscape
Experience using Cision to build media lists and find media contacts
Prior experience in public relations or communication, either at an agency or in-house
2-3 years of experience in public relations
