At Citymapper by Via we’re on a mission to help make complex cities easy to use. Our app helps millions of people in hundreds of cities around the world by giving them the most up-to-date and complete information on urban transportation options.

As an Android Engineer at Citymapper, you'll work with engineers, designers and product managers to shape the underlying technology of the app, and help build the features we need to expand into new markets. You will join a diverse team with a passion for sharing and learning.

What You'll Do:

  • Write clean and efficient code for Android applications
  • Taking ownership and working closely with product and design teams to ship new features to our users
  • Stay up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify potential problems, writing tests and resolving application bottlenecks.

Who You Are:

  • A proficient Android Engineer who’s worked on at least one Play-Store published app
  • Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience would be recommended.
  • A track record of working with Product teams in a B2C environment would be preferred
  • Effective at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A real team player who enjoys wearing multiple hats and collaborating on projects
