As an Operations Analyst, you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to entrepreneurship, operations management, product management, and business development. You will work directly with our senior team in Berlin as we expand our service in this key market.  This is a challenging, hands-on role in the context of a fast-paced tech company. Responsibilities span operations, people-management, and analytics. A successful candidate will enjoy leading people as much as they enjoy relentlessly improving our operations processes and the supporting technology solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure optimal weekly supply planning while accounting for changing supply requirements, labour laws, and driver satisfaction
  • Set long-term driver growth targets and prepare and implement strategies to scale operational processes and systems
  • Make data driven decisions to optimally support our city economics plans
  • Coordinate a team of operations staff and foster an energetic, inclusive working environment
  • Work with our product managers to keep our proprietary driver and fleet management technology suite best-in-class
  • Work on diverse projects across the full range of our business operations, including rider experience & growth, pricing, market expansion, business development, technology and fleet development


  • Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortable taking on responsibility
  • 2+ years experience in consulting, banking or a fast-growth startup -- operations experience a plus but not required 
  • Master’s degree from a top-tier institution; or at least a Bachelor’s degree and a record of exceptional academic achievement
  • Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortable taking on responsibility
  • Meticulous and vigilant, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Independent self-starter; you enjoy working as part of a small team and are excited to help build ViaVan in Berlin from the ground up
  • Skilled at communicating professionally with stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds
  • Problem solver; you don’t accept the status quo and are always looking for creative solutions
  • Demonstrated record of entrepreneurial achievement and/or leadership a plus
  • Fully fluent in German and English
