At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

40% of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste.

We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as our Retail Technologies offering, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 107 million registered users and 242,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 388+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1049.000 tonnes of CO2e!

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our Tech Foundation team, focused on empowering developers across product teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Too Good To Go is expanding, bringing in more developers and rapidly growing our codebase.

As part of the Foundation team, your focus will be on enabling seamless collaboration across this shared codebase to ensure product teams’ ability to deliver high-quality features. By enhancing code quality, testability, development processes, and monitoring, we empower our developers to work together efficiently and effectively.

As a Team Member on the Foundation team, you’ll collaborate with other Engineers to achieve specific outcomes, with the freedom and responsibility to determine the best approach.

Your mission will be to help refine, design, implement, deliver, and maintain a range of internal services, libraries, frameworks, and tools, all aimed at enhancing the Android developer experience.

As a Senior Engineer, you will actively support your engineering lead in delivering a high-quality, maintainable, and top-class product. You’ll also serve as a role model for less experienced team members, demonstrating ownership of challenges and applying your expertise to identify effective solutions.

At our company, we prioritise quality over strict deadlines, and we want to take pride in our work.

The Tech Stack

Our tech stack includes an Android app built with Kotlin, following the MVVM design pattern.
