About Too Good To Go in Australia
During the past 6 months, Too Good To Go has launched the consumer marketplace in Australia starting with Melbourne and Sydney. The results of our initial launch phase are above expectations and have built a firm foundation in the market. What is ahead is further expansion into the country and consequential build up of the team and operations.
The role
The Strategy & Planning Manager role reports to the Country Director of Australia and works closely with the senior leaders in the Australian team. The focus of this role is to execute the national expansion strategy for Too Good To Go to achieve national presence in the market. Additionally this role will be involved with more complex portfolio expansions and partnerships required to further advance Too Good To Go’s position as a contributor to the reduction of food waste in Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure analytical and operational rigor in our reporting and processes
- Build cross functional reporting to optimise the flywheel metrics and update key reports on a weekly basis
- Lead the cross functional discussions and communication between departments to advance the expansion efforts and provide recommendations to commercial leaders.
- Conduct analytical deep dives to identify commercial improvement opportunities; synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into concise, actionable recommendations that can be digested by leaders across the business
- Execute tasks to support the Australian commercial teams, such as: providing geographical focus guidance, maintaining and updating lists and reports, improving sales tooling, and ensuring data accuracy and cleanliness
- Find and implement sales optimization efforts to increase sales productivity and effectiveness
- Support knowledge and best practice sharing and implementation among local and global stakeholders; drive adoption of team knowledge base to ensure key processes are documented and shared across the organization
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in strategy consulting, an internal strategy/business development function or a high-growth Marketplace business
- Demonstrated ability to work and gain buy-in across all stakeholder levels
- A doer’s mentality and proactive attitude to finding solutions for complex challenges & situations
- Ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategy development and execution
- Grit and determination to go the extra mile and deliver under pressure with relentless attention to detail
- A track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
- A balance of IQ and EQ – and courage to use both in a professional setting
- Strong drive, sense of ownership and pride in delivering outstanding quality day-in-day-out
- Inspiring, engaging and motivating communication skills – in-person and online
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team player, with the ability to motivate exceptional performance in others
- Strong data retrieval, analytics, data visualization, and presentation skills
- Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
- Experience with Salesforce (reports, dashboards) and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker) are a strong plus
