Re:Build Optimation Technology, LLC is an engineering, design and fabrication firm in Rochester, New York. We work with customers across many industries to develop and deliver custom industrial skids and custom industrial machines to meet unique requirements.  We design and build custom automation solutions to make these systems functional.  Optimation is employee centric and has been named a Top Workplace for the past two years.

Who are we looking for?

We need controls systems engineers to support other engineers and tradesmen s on the design teams building the unique applications we do.  Projects may include process applications for food, pharmaceutical and chemical applications, or machine design projects for manufacturing.  Many projects are focused on renewable energy applications.  Those who join will be part of the design, fabrication, installation, and debug of innovative equipment. 

What you will do

  • Represent Optimation in communications with the client
  • Provide the design team plan, labor estimate to deliver project design/drawing content.
  • Create and maintain design standards for a given project
  • Provide programming support for PLC and SCADA systems
  • Be proficient in the use of Rockwell and Allen Bradley products
  • Support systems for use in automated machines as well as process systems. 
  • Provide support for design and fabrication of control panels. 
  • Provide marketing support and estimates for sales efforts
  • Develop rapport with clients’ organization, key people, sensitivities
  • Be willing to travel
  • Work well with others, has strong soft skills and be a team player

What you should bring to the team

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent training.  Minimum five (5) years' experience in automation or control systems.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.  Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
  • OTHER SKILLS: Ability to operate a computer and use spreadsheet, database, word processing and PLC programming.
