Who we are looking for:
The Vehicle Integration Functional Engineer – Complete Vehicle will be an experienced automotive engineer with both vehicle development and component release experience. In addition, experience with program management and the Siemens software Polarion is desired.
What you get to do:
- Develop and modify the existing ReCar Polarion database to accommodate the requirements of the engineering teams.
- Develop methods to report and display data in Polarion.
- Documenting all functional objectives in Polarion.
- Reviewing all levels of functional objectives with appropriate teams for accuracy.
- Coordinate data entry, across all engineering teams, into Polarion.
- Provide reports summarizing Polarion data for regular management communication.
- Chair meetings with individual engineering departments to facilitate keeping issues and data entry up to date.
- Evaluate functional objectives and align with ReCar vehicle strategic targets.
- Make functional objective recommendations and help resolve conflicts.
What you bring to the Team:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
- 2+ years of automotive engineering experience.
- Vehicle Integration and functional objective experience.
- Experience with database development and administration.
- Experience with Siemens Polarion software.
- Proficency in MS applications including Teams.
- Excellent communication Team building and relationship building skills.
- Ability to lead teams and meetings through technical tradeoffs and optimized solutions with attention to detail.
- Broad vehicle technical and vehicle development process knowledge including how to set technical targets, work with teams to determine feasibility (virtually and physically) and validate with statistical confidence.
- Automotive Design/Release or development engineering experience.
