Re:Car, is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Founded in early 2022, Project Re:Car spent its formative months establishing a leadership team and the product definition.
What we are looking for:
The Propulsion Systems group at Re:Car LLC is looking for an energetic, fun, organized, experienced OBD Calibration Engineer to join our growing team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to calibrating the propulsion system, calibration tracking, and understanding supervisory control governing body compliance.
What you get to do:
- Integrate key parts of the software and calibrating all HV and Propulsion related diagnostics and its associated reaction.
- Prototype vehicle calibration and support.
- Translate vehicle diagnostic requirements/functional objectives and formulate development and testing plans.
- Work with Re:Car suppliers (through Development Phases Alpha, Beta, PV, Product intent) and teams (Chief Engineer, architecture, purchasing, program manager, and quality engineers) to ensure the successful launch and release.
- Define, complete and supervise design verification plans (DVP) and reporting
- Support production ramp and field issue resolution
- Provide and report Diagnostic status throughout program
- Calibration change management (documentation of calibrations and changes)
- Implement programs through the development process that meet or exceed objectives for performance, drivability and customer satisfaction
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years in relevant experience (propulsion controls, calibration, and/or testing)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant OBD experience
- Ability to review software documents to learn and understand software.
- Demonstrated experience with calibration and DVP&R through the complete product cycle
- Experience in problem solving
- Strong technical research and writing skills
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business
- Experience in the full product life cycle
- Reactive and/or DFSS black belt
- Previous Hybrid or electrification calibration experience
- HW/SW knowledge and validation/release experience
