Re:Build Optimation Technology, LLC is an engineering, design and fabrication firm in Rochester, New York. We work with customers across many industries to develop and deliver custom industrial skids and custom industrial machines to meet unique requirements. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a skilled electrical designer with a strong background in process controls. The ideal candidate will be experienced with electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical layouts. The role requires familiarity with industry standards such as UL508A, NEC, ISA, NEMA, and IEC standard electrical symbology.
What you get to do!
- Design and develop electrical systems and control enclosures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Create and review electrical schematics and P&IDs to support engineering projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical 2023 or newer to produce the appropriate wiring drawings.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions.
- Assist in selecting and sourcing materials for control enclosures and panels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical design and installation.
- Participate in project planning, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
What you will bring to the team
- Associate’s degree (AAS) in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience in electrical design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD electrics is essential. SolidWorks' experience is optional.
- Experience in designing control enclosures from bills of materials and schematics is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and precision are key attributes for success in this position.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients, the engineering team, and strategic partners.
- Interpersonal and collaborative team-building skills are required.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment is crucial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity or proficiency with PLC I/O wiring, motor control, and panel layout design.
