Who we are looking for

Cutting Dynamics is looking for an experienced CNC Machining Estimator/Quoting Specialist who will be responsible for quoting new and repeat business.

What you will get to do

Quotes new CNC machining business (by interpreting customer drawings, specifications, etc., using estimation tools).
Quotes repeat CNC machining business (by referencing historical data or other estimation tools).
Monitors status of submitted quotes (won/lost/other), following up where appropriate.
Collaborates with Purchasing and Account Management in support of quotes.

What you bring to the team

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

3-5 years’ experience quoting CNC machining, and ideally additional experience in CNC machining on the production floor, aerospace a plus in either case.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred but not required (relevant experience considered).
High attention to detail, technical focus, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interpret part definition (including GD&T), and understand our CNC machining equipment sufficiently to decide upon a suitable manufacturing plan, and build a cost/quote estimate accordingly from there.
